The NEBGF has annual consistency awards as do each of the three associations. Each uses a different scale/method to award points to the placing hounds. Would it make sense to have all three associations and the NEBGF adopt a single scale/method to awards points to simplify it for the trialers? If the NEBGF is going to become one of the few marque AKC beagle federations, the associations should look to unify some of their functions and this would be a start. Again each Association would have a separate consistency, but a win in a class of 20 in each association would count the same as the NEBGF points. If the method needs to be updated that is fine as long as a consensus is reached.

Beginning this year (2012), I am pleased to report that the NEBGF, NEHBA and IBGA will all be using the same method of awarding points for their respective consistency races.
1st - 5 X class entries
2nd - 4 X class entries
3rd - 3 X class entries
4th - 2 X class entries
NBQ - 1 X class entries
1st - 5 X class entries
2nd - 4 X class entries
3rd - 3 X class entries
4th - 2 X class entries
